Alize Sarl Landy was founded in 1991 by three women committed to alleviating poverty in their community of Alasora, Madagascar. Identifying a need for an alternative to the unreliable seasonal work of rice farming, they created the organization to enrich the lives of their artisans by providing weaving and embroidery trainings, as well as school fees and care for their children. Now, these mothers can care for their families from the comfort of their home workshop, while earning a fair wage!
