Kaithun Weavers operates in the village of Kaithun, on the banks of the Chambal River in India, where cloth weaving on handlooms has provided income for the villagers for over a century. The co-op was founded to protect the traditional craft in the face of competition from new electric looms and machine-made cloth. Empowered through skills training, the artisans teach their craft to their children at home; so the whole family can preserve local traditions while crafting a brighter future!
