Shiva ShakthiIndiaShiva Shakthi Trust was founded in 1996 as a vital support network to empower poor women and children suffering from poverty, malnutrition and debt. Earning a dignified and fair wage, artisans in Coimbatore, India are trained in embroidery, tailoring and culinary skills. More than 500 women have been trained, and over 100 employed, all of whom enjoy subsidized health care, financial aid and a childcare center beside their workshop--allowing them to remain close to their children while working! |
