Toucan Craft was founded in 2003 to help poor women in New Dehli break the cycle of poverty through the development of sustainable livelihoods. Through their work, local artisans are empowered with health care and training in sewing and beading, able to earn fair wages while benefiting from the autonomy of working from home. With this freedom to complete domestic tasks, they can educate their children from home, which especially benefits young daughters with limited access to education.
