League of Artisans

The League of Artisans links India's most disadvantaged artisans to the US market through an innovative financial model that provides fair wage employment and investments in artisan enterprise development. Over 20 million Indians work in the handicrafts sector. Most of them live below the poverty line and are forced to sell their crafts through middlemen, often earning less than 5% of the end price of their goods. The League of Artisans creates sustainable livelihoods for these artisans.
